Head of Delivery (Credit)

Role
As the Head of Delivery for Nikel’s Credit Business, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives and product deliveries across our credit offerings. This role bridges business, product, and technology—ensuring cross-functional teams are aligned, projects are delivered on time, and client expectations are met or exceeded. You will act as the glue between internal teams and external stakeholders, driving delivery excellence while maintaining strong relationships with partners and clients. Your role will be both operational and strategic, requiring you to zoom in to solve blockers and zoom out to align with company goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of credit-related initiatives and products across cross-functional teams (Product, Tech, Data, Ops, Commercial).
- Own and maintain delivery roadmaps, ensuring visibility of progress, blockers, and dependencies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders—internal and external—on all things related to delivery within the credit vertical.
- Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and delivery rituals; champion agile best practices and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and manage client implementations, ensuring clear scoping, timeline management, and effective communication.
- Identify delivery risks early and proactively mitigate them to ensure outcomes are met on schedule and within scope.
- Support team development and performance by coaching Delivery Managers and ensuring strong ownership culture.
- Report progress, challenges, and deliver health to leadership, offering insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in program management, delivery, or project execution in a tech-driven environment.
- Proven track record of delivering complex cross-functional initiatives, ideally within the financial services or technology space.
- Strong familiarity with JIRA or other agile/project management tools.
- Solid understanding of product development life cycles and agile methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience navigating between business, product, and tech stakeholders.
- Experience working with external partners or clients, particularly in implementation or solution delivery contexts.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to balance strategy with operational execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience managing and mentoring delivery or project managers is a plus.
