Commercial Head

Nikel is a fintech company improving access to financial services for banks and non-banks. Through technology and advanced analytics, we offer a range of products to our customers in Indonesia. In addition to technology solutions, we also offer consulting services in areas such as credit modelling and help our partners identify and engage distribution and channeling partners—including banks and other financial institutions—in Indonesia.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Head to lead the go-to-market and sales efforts for Nikel’s technology solutions in Indonesia. This is a senior, hands-on role for a B2B sales leader with experience selling enterprise technology to financial institutions and technology companies—ideally in the domains of risk, compliance, fraud prevention, or credit.
You will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, leading commercial partnerships, and shaping our go-to-market strategy in Indonesia. This includes sales of our technology platforms, advisory projects in credit modelling, and facilitating channeling partnerships for financial institutions.
You will work closely with our Product, Tech, and Data teams to ensure solutions are aligned to customer needs and implemented effectively. This role reports directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full sales cycle for Nikel’s technology solutions, from lead generation through to closing and post-sale success
- Drive sales and engagement across multiple customer types including banks, fintechs, payment service providers, and e-commerce platforms
- Originate and manage consulting engagements, particularly in credit modelling and risk
- Identify and develop channeling partnerships with Indonesian banks and financial institutions to support go-to-market and distribution
- Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders (CROs, CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Lending, Risk, or Compliance)
- Work closely with Product, Tech, and Data teams to ensure alignment on solution development and delivery
- Develop compelling value propositions and tailored sales narratives for each customer segment
- Achieve and exceed commercial targets and KPIs
- Lead and grow a high-performing local commercial team
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to inform product and commercial strategy
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in B2B sales of enterprise technology solutions, ideally in financial services, risk, or compliance
- Proven success selling to banks, fintechs, or large enterprises in Indonesia
- Familiarity with credit, fraud, and risk management use cases across onboarding, transactions, and compliance
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex sales cycles and close high-value deals
- Experience managing consulting or advisory engagements is a plus
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with cross-functional product and engineering teams
- Hands-on and proactive—able to balance strategic thinking with direct execution
- Strong leadership skills, with experience building and managing commercial teams
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Deep understanding of the Indonesian financial services and technology ecosystem
